Lembro-me ainda como se fosse hoje de quando a Sandra apareceu com uma caixinha de madeira, muito bonitinha e misteriosa, lá pra meados da fau, e quando ela me apresentou o conteúdo - um conjunto de 100 cartões postais com imagens de Alan Fletcher - eu fiquei fascinada! Um mais legal que o outro! E o que me cativou de imediato foi que, além de serem super bonitos, a maioria era uma reflexão ilustrada, uma sacada engraçada ou, se quisermos, uma solução gráfica genial. Acabei comprando também um "100 Maverick Postcards".

I still remember like it was yesterday when Sandra appeared with a wooden box, very beautiful and mysterious, near mid-graduation, and when she showed me the content - a set of 100 postcards with images of Alan Fletcher - I was fascinated! One cooler than the other! What captivated me immediately was that, besides being super cute, they were mostly an illustrated reflection, a funny brain wave, or I can say, genial graphic solutions. I ended up also buying a "100 Maverick Postcards".

Minha Lisboa para você - parte II ∞ My Lisbon to you - part II

E foi com esse espírito que, ao acompanhar a preparação de um grande amigo prestes a viajar a Lisboa, decidi reunir em um mesmo projeto meu amor pela cidade e pelo querido Chodin. Procurei registrar em um guia afetivo lembranças e sentimentos que povoam meu coração quando ouço falar de LX, elencando alguns dos aspectos que mais me cativaram e, eventualmente, poderiam também encantá-lo. O carinho e gratidão que demonstrou quando lhe entreguei aquela pequena encadernação satisfatoriamente fecharam esse ciclo amoroso.

And it was in that spirit that I decided to join in the same project my love for the city and for the dear Chodin, while he was preparing himself to travel to Lisbon soon. I tried to record memories and feelings that fill my heart when I hear of LX in an affective tiny guide, listing some of the aspects that most captivated me and eventually could also enchant him. The fondness and gratitude that he showed when I gave that little book successfully closed that loving cycle.

Minha Lisboa para você ∞ My Lisbon to you

Lisboa foi minha casa por um tempo.
A diferença primordial entre morar em um local e ali estar apenas para visitá-lo reside, a meu ver, na rotina que se adquire e a consecutiva predileção da memória por armazenar aquilo que possui maior carga simbólica no contexto da vivência do lugar, seja apenas por uma parada provisória, seja na cidade em que se vive desde que nasceu. É claro que em curto espaço de tempo é possível que se adquira uma rotina, e a memória sempre possuirá essa parcialidade, entretanto, a questão a que me refiro gira mais em torno da tipologia dos hábitos, e menos no surgimento destes. Possuir compromissos periódicos, por exemplo, é algo determinante da relação conhecimento ⇄ intimidade que se tem com a cidade, ou melhor, com regiões da cidade (e porque não com espaços pontuais, como edifícios ou praças?).

Lisbon was my home for a time.
In my opinion, the primary difference between living in a place and be there only for visiting lies on the routine that we get used to and the consecutive memory predilection to store what has greater symbolic significance in the context of the experience at the place, if only for a temporary stop, or even if it's about the city where we live since birth. It is clear that in a short time you can acquire a routine, and it will always have this memory bias, however, the issue which I am referring to spins more around the typology of habits, and less about their start. Having recurring appointments, for example, is something determinant of the relation knowledge ⇄ intimacy you have with the city, or better, with areas of the city (and why not with specific spaces such as buildings or squares?).

Tomei contato com a obra de Luigi Ghirri recentemente, graças à exposição no Instituto Moreira Salles, nos 45 do segundo tempo, e exatamente como uma colega previu (valeu, Gabi!!!), fiquei atônita, encantada, apaixonada, e apesar de uma nítida densidade teória  - linda e instigante - que percorre todo seu trabalho, o processo cativante se dá entre olho e emoção, ali, acessível.

I came in touch with the work of Luigi Ghirri recently, thanks to the Instituto Moreira Salles exposure, in the very last day, and exactly as predicted my colleague (thanks, Gabi!), I was astonished, delighted, passionate, and despite a - beautiful and exciting - clear theoretical density that runs throughout his work, the captivating process takes between eye and emotion, right there, accessible.

Felizmente constituímos dois pontos que geram uma reta de conexão entre duas grandes cidades do continente americano, New York e São Paulo, e buscamos com essa ligação enriquecer nossas referências e pontos de vista. Reunimos aqui algumas fotos que cada uma tirou no seu cotidiano, detalhes das cidades em que vivemos atualmente, belezas escondidas no trivial, ou paisagens que nem sempre reparamos pela correria da rotina.

Fortunately we constitute two points that generate a direct link between two great cities of the American continent, New York and Sao Paulo, and we seek to enrich our references and viewpoints with that connection. We've rounded up some photos taken by each of us in our daily lives, details of the cities we live in today, hidden beauties in the commonplace, or landscapes that are not always noticed by the rush of the routine.

Tuesdays is a joint project between Priscila Menegasso and Sandra Jávera, old  friends from college . The first collaboration we had was illustrating NATURE and you can see the result of this work here. For this second round we exchanged pictures during ten weeks and make interventions on it.
